Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Her mother raised her in the USA, where she faced several racial stereotypes, which caused her to feel as an unwanted person. After she participated in school contests and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 the young girl started to feel more confident. The experience not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on life. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She was 23 when she had her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail, were her biggest breakthroughs. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot She played the Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. She gained more recognition for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she also released a single and an extended play. In her role as an activist, she is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
